2017 Toyota Prius Prime Pricing Announced

Seeing the enthusiasm of the Quebec market for hybrid and electric vehicles, Toyota will sell its 2017 Prius Prime in La Belle Province starting June 1st, before it goes on sale in other regions of Canada. Crowned the World Green Car of the Year at the 2017 New York Auto Show, the plug-in hybrid will hit Quebec showrooms with a starting MSRP of $32,990 before freight and delivery charges.

“Plug-in electric vehicle sales were up 60% in Quebec in 2016, more than anywhere else in Canada,” noted Jocelyn Daneau, zone manager for Quebec. “Quebecers were the first to embrace these types of cars and demand just keeps growing. So, it was only natural for Toyota to launch the 2017 Prius Prime - our most fuel-efficient hybrid to date—exclusively in Quebec.”

Two versions are offered. The Prius Prime includes, among other things, an audio system with seven-inch screen, SIRI Eyes Free functionality, navigation, a heated steering wheel wrapped in SofTex leather, two 4.2-inch information screens, an ECO drive monitor and an intelligent key.

The 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Technology carries an MSRP of $38,565. It piles on many advanced features such as an 11.6-inch touchscreen, Qi wireless phone charging, head-up display and blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, in addition to SofTex leather upholstery.
