The first owners will receive their cars by the end of the month. The waiting list contains a few hundred thousand buyers waiting for their precious Model 3.

In his tweet, Musk confirmed the weekly production will increase to 5000 cars per week by the end of the year. He is also confident that the number will double to 10,000 cars per week in 2018.The Model 3 is the new affordable car from Tesla. It should offer a driving range of nearly 400 km per charge to its owner. The base price should be somewhere between USD$35,000 and USD$40,000. Last year, more than 400,000 cars were pre-ordered, making the Tesla Model 3 the most successful car launch in history. The final version of the product should be unveiled by the end of the month.
