Chevy’s midsize SUV has been completely redesigned the 2018 model year. Slightly bigger than the first generation it replaces, the 2018 Traverse is nevertheless lighter. It’s also more spacious inside for passengers, and while cargo space is reduced a little, it remains the roomiest in its category that includes the Ford Explorer, the Toyota Highlander and the Honda Pilot, among others. In addition, it can seat up to eight passengers.

Under the hood, buyers can choose from a 3.6-litre V6 that develops 305 horsepower or a turbocharged, 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower. Both are connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive is available.
