2018 Porsche 911 GT3: We’re Driving it This Week!

Over the next few days, The Car Guide will head to Germany in order to cover two important events at Porsche. The first one will be in Stuttgart, where the automaker will hold the world premiere of the third-generation Cayenne, its flagship utility vehicle.

The 2019 Porsche Cayenne is important for the brand. Frankly, critical would be a more appropriate term, as its profitability allows the company to invest large sums of money in developing more exclusive sports cars.

One of those is the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3, which we’ll have the opportunity to drive near Zuffenhausen. This rear-drive sports coupe is equipped with a 4.0-litre six cylinder engine that belts out 500 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque, all without the help of turbocharging. The brand says the GT3 can blast from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds with the six-speed manual gearbox, or in 3.4 seconds with the seven-speed PDK transmission.

The presentation of the new Cayenne will actually be held at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. Will we have time to take a few pictures and videos of the company’s fascinating collection of vehicles? We certainly hope so. Stay tuned.
