With production now underway, tours allow visitors to experience Panamera up-close and personal

Production of the new Porsche Panamera has started at the company’s plant in Leipzig. Presented to the global public in Shanghai in April and available in Canada this October, the four-door Gran Turismo is built together with the successful Cayenne SUV on one line.

In order to prepare for the Panamera’s arrival, the Leipzig plant underwent a 22,000-square metre expansion over the course of two years. The state-of the-art production and logistics concept was also refined further.

No plant tours have been possible during the last eight months due to construction. Starting today, visitors can again experience production up-close and personal and have the chance to see the first Panameras roll off the assembly line in Saxony.

The two-hour tours are free of charge and can be booked in conjunction with racetrack and off-road driving programs at Porsche Leipzig.
