Care by Volvo, a new all-inclusive subscription service

After BOOK by Cadillac and Porsche Passport, Volvo is launching their own vehicle subscription service. Customers will be able to drive a new Volvo SUV with a simple monthly fee, which will include vehicle registration fees, insurance and maintenance.

The Swedish brand made the announcement this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and Volvo Canada also confirmed the service would eventually be offered in our country. However, specific details and pricing have yet to be officialised.

In the United States, customers can pick up the all-new 2019 Volvo XC40 subcompact SUV starting at $600 a month on a 24-month term. They only need to choose which trim level of the XC40 they want on the company’s website, and the monthly fee will cover everything except fuel. No price haggling, no cash down, no extras. In addition, 24/7 customer care and concierge services will also be established, which will cover roadside assistance as well as vehicle maintenance and repair.

Subscribers will get an annual allocation of 15,000 miles (24,000 km), and if they want, they can change vehicles 12 months into their 24-month term. Other Volvo models should be added to the service later on.

As soon as more details surface on the Care by Volvo program in Canada, we’ll let you know.
