Cadillac Escala Concept Sits on Top of the Automotive Design Ladder

Published on January 16, 2018 in Montreal by Alain Morin

The Cadillac Escala Concept is showing off the noble American brand’s latest design direction. According to the press release, this concept “builds Cadillac’s aspirational character, signaling the brand’s return to the pinnacle of premium.” The Escala, which means ladder in Spanish, is a full-size car whose body is 5334 mm in length, some 150 mm more than the CT6. Under this superb exterior (in our completely subjective opinion), there’s a twin-turbo, 4.2L V8 engine that switches to four-cylinder mode whenever possible. This engine could turn up in other Cadillac products over the next few years.
