Redesigned 2019 Toyota RAV4 to be Unveiled in New York
Toyota has just released a teaser image of the 2019 Toyota RAV4, which will get a redesign and make its world debut at the upcoming New York Auto Show.
The current-generation RAV4 has been on sale since the 2013 model year, which doesn’t seem that too long ago. But with many new and redesigned adversaries hitting the market in the last couple of years, the Japanese manufacturer must keep its product fresh.

No details have been revealed so far about the 2019 Toyota RAV4. The published image shows the SUV’s silhouette, which will boast a flatter nose, a lower roofline with a slimmer greenhouse as well as a less upright rear window.
We’re not expecting any changes underhood, as Toyota currently doesn’t have any small-displacement, turbocharged engines in its lineup to improve fuel economy. Unlike the turbo 1.5-litre four-cylinder mills now found in the Honda CR-V, the Chevrolet Equinox, the GMC Terrain, the Ford Escape and the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, the RAV4 should keep its 2.5-litre engine, which is already pretty efficient anyway. Or, Toyota could surprise us with a new engine reveal. We’ll see.
The new RAV4 will be unveiled in New York on March 28, and The Car Guide will be there to gather up all the information on the best-selling SUV in Canada in 2017.
