2019 Chevrolet Spark: New Nose, New Colours
Introduced in its current form in 2016, the Spark minicar will enter the 2019 model year with a few changes, most of which will be cosmetic.
The Spark’s new front fascia gets some chrome trim, while projector-style headlights and LED accent lighting are available on 1LT and 2LT variants. The revised appearance draws the car’s styling closer to the brand’s other models such as the Chevrolet Malibu and the Chevrolet Cruze, and according to GM, it “adds attitude and purpose to Chevrolet’s feisty […] minicar.”

There is also tasty new paint colours such as Orange Burst Metallic, Passion Fruit, Carribean Blue Metallic and Raspberry. However, Chevy didn’t specify which ones they’ll replace in the current palette that includes colours such as Toasted Marshmallow, Sorbet, Brimstone, Splash and Mint.
The Spark set itself apart in 2016 with its standard-issue MyLink infotainment system with seven-inch touchscreen, rearview camera, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration as well as on-board 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. The 2019 edition now includes what the brand calls Chevrolet Infotainment 3, with basically the same features.
The Spark 2LT already boasts advanced safety devices such as forward precollison warning and lane departure warning, but the 2019 car will add low-speed autonomous braking as well.
Every Spark is equipped with a 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine that develops 98 horsepower and 94 pound-feet of torque, matched to either a five-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic.
Pricing hasn’t yet been announced for the 2019 Chevrolet Spark, but the slightly revised minicar will go on sale before the end of the year.
