2018 Hyundai Accent Pricing Announced
After the new-generation Accent made its world debut at the 2017 Toronto Auto Show, and after letting us drive the 2018 Hyundai Accent back in November, the Korean manufacturer is now ready to deploy the car into its dealerships across Canada.
Why such a long wait? Some minor logistic problems perhaps, but also because Hyundai Canada ordered a massive batch of 2017 cars, which are currently being liquidated at reduced prices.

For those who prefer to wait for the redesigned 2018 edition, the base MSRP has been set at $14,599 before freight and delivery charges.
That’s for the five-door Accent L equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. As for all versions of the subcompact, it also gets a direct-injected, 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that develops 130 horsepower and 119 pound-feet of torque. As standard, the Accent L includes 15-inch wheels, cloth seat upholstery, a height-adjustable driver’s seat as well as an infotainment system with five-inch touchscreen, rearview camera, CD player and USB port.
The Accent LE, available in hatchback and sedan body styles with a six-speed automatic transmission, retails for $17,349. The LE version gains heated and power-adjustable outside mirrors, Bluetooth phone connectivity, air conditioning, power windows and wheel-mounted audio controls. It will likely be the most popular trim level.
The GL version, in sedan and hatchback configuration, with manual ($17,549) and automatic ($18,799) gearboxes, adds alloy wheels, automatic headlights, a voice recognition system, a telescopic steering column, heated front seats, cruise control and keyless entry. It also benefits from a seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
Last but not least, the GLS five-door manual ($19,849), five-door automatic ($21,099) and sedan automatic ($21,099) offer 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, headlight clusters with LED lighting, an intelligent key, a power sunroof and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The GLS is also the only one to receive a forward collision warning system with autonomous emergency braking.
The 2018 Hyundai Accent will soon be on sale, ready to rival the Chevrolet Sonic, the Ford Fiesta, the Honda Fit, the Kia Rio, the Nissan Versa Note and the Toyota Yaris.
