Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation introduces its new President
Today, the Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation (MADC) held its Annual General Meeting at Queen Elizabeth Hotel and appointed its new President for a one-year mandate.
Carmine D'Argenio becomes the new President
Mr. Carmine D'Argenio, from BMW Laval & Mini Laval, will act as the new President of the MADC for the next 12 months. "New challenges are around the corner for the dealers of the Montreal region, and we are ready to face them together, said the new President". As Vice-President, Mr. Pascal Dandurand from Champlain Dodge Chrysler in Verdun will take over. A first in the MADC history, the 42nd edition of the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) will be driven by a woman, Mrs. Carole Leblanc, from Mercedes-Benz & Smart de Laval, outgoing President of MADC, will act as the President of MIAS. "The population of the Greater Montreal area will re-discover the Auto Show and find it as dynamic and attractive as they like, with great surprises" said the newly appointed President.

Despite the difficult times affecting the automobile industry, the dealers of the Montreal region are expecting better in the coming year and will keep working together to make sure they contribute to the re-launching of their industry.
The MADC members are confident about the future of the industry. They all see signs that are showing important improvements regarding stability and innovation.
MADC members gave close to $1.5 million to hospital foundations since 2005
For the last 5 years, prior to the Montréal International Auto Show, the annual Charity Preview evening takes place to benefit worthy causes within the Greater Montreal's medical community. In 2009, $343,305 was distributed to the Fondation du Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM), the McGill University Health Centre Foundation, the Montréal Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation, the Pierre-Boucher Hospital Foundation and the Santa Cabrini Foundation. In 5 years, different hospital foundations have received close to $1.5 million. The Greater Montreal region dealers, who care about the well-being of the community, are proud to contribute to this cause.
The Montréal Automobile Dealers Corporation is a non-profit organization founded in 1913. The MADC organizes the Montreal International Auto Show. The 42nd edition of the MIAS will take place between January 15 and 24, 2010 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
