2019 Nissan Maxima and Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition Debut in Toronto
Japanese automaker Nissan presented an updated Maxima and a new variant of the Pathfinder at the Toronto Auto Show.
The 2019 Nissan Maxima received styling revisions front and rear, standard LED headlights and taillights as well as new alloy wheel designs. The Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced safety features has also been added, which rounds up autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning and automatic high beams.

Once again, the Maxima is equipped with a 300-horsepower, 3.5-litre V6 engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission. Current available trim levels include SV, SR and Platinum trim levels, and pricing starts at $40,790 before freight and delivery charges.
The 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition boasts a rugged appearance with dark 18-inch alloy wheels, black moulded fender flares and a blackout treatment for the grille, roof rails, door handles, outside mirrors and bumper accents. Inside, the SUV gets two-tone upholstery and contrast stitching. As is the case with every Pathfinder, a 284-horsepower, 3.5-litre V6 is standard, which provides a towing capacity of 2,722 kilograms (6,000 lbs.). The Rock Creek Edition package can be added to either the SV Tech 4x4 or SL Premium 4x4 grades, and pricing starts at $41,598.
Also on the Nissan stand is the second-generation LEAF NISMO RC, a fully electric and all-wheel-drive race car that uses two motors to produce a combined 322 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque. The LEAF NISMO RC will be the official pace car for the upcoming season of the Micra Cup, so we'll see it in action this summer.
Last but not least, the Nissan Altima-te AWD with its heavy-duty track system, which was originally unveiled at the Montreal Auto Show, is on display in Toronto.
