2020 MINI Clubman Refreshed Inside and Out

Published on April 19, 2019 in New Models by Guillaume Rivard

If you’re looking for a fun-to-drive little car with a quirky personality, the refreshed-for-2020 MINI Clubman is coming soon with a number of cosmetic changes and technology updates.

The most striking design feature is the newly styled front grille, which now extends almost fully across the bumper. Both the standard halogen headlights and the optional LED headlights were redesigned, too. The latter are even available with adaptive lighting technology.

In the rear, the new MINI Clubman is now fitted as standard with LED taillights. Those can optionally be had with a Union Jack pattern. Of course, the two split doors return, providing access to a 360-litre trunk that can be expanded to 1,250 litres if you lower the rear seatbacks.

A Piano Black exterior trim option and available 18-inch light alloy wheels have been added for 2020.

Inside, look for new leather variants in the colours Malt Brown, Indigo Blue and Satellite Grey, plus additional MINI Connected functions and an extended range of Original MINI Accessories.

The 2020 MINI Clubman will initially be available in two trim levels, both with standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The base Cooper Clubman features a 136-horsepower three-cylinder engine, while the sportier Cooper S Clubman gets a 189-horsepower four-cylinder that will take you from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. They will be joined at a later date by a high-performance John Cooper Works Clubman.

Pricing will be announced closer to the Canadian launch in the third quarter of 2019.
