The Sky is Falling
When Pontiac was declared dead, and Saturn sold off, enthusiasts were abuzz with the fate of the Kappa platform. Best known in North America for the diminutive but attractive Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky, it has since been announced that both models will be sacrificed in order to save money. With the last Kappa car apparently being a silver Solstice, enthusiasts will remember these automobiles for their shapely bodies, excellent dynamics, terrible marketing and devastating flaws. Although fun to drive and shockingly gorgeous, both cars were almost completely ignored by GM’s marketing division; especially true in the Saturn’s case. Of course, perhaps they wouldn’t have needed a relentless marketing campaign had it not been for the relatively awkward folding roof mechanics and complete lack of trunk space. But, in any case, now might be the perfect time to pick one of these future classics up on the cheap!
