Two Special Editions of the Jeep Wrangler Added for 2020

FCA is announcing a pair of new special-edition models with the 2020 Jeep Wrangler including the return of the popular Willys.

Based on the Wrangler Sport S, in either two- or four-door configuration, the Wrangler Willys marks the first time this edition is available on the new JL generation of the iconic 4x4.

It comes with a limited-slip rear differential, Rubicon rock rails and shocks, heavy-duty brakes and 32-inch Firestone mud terrain tires. Combined with Jeep’s Command-Trac system, two-speed transfer case and a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, these features will bolster the Wrangler’s off-road capability.

Of course, the exterior design is upgraded to match the increased potential. Look for a Willys hood decal, unique black 17-inch aluminum wheels with gray pad print and a gloss black sport grille. All-weather slush mats as well as LED headlights and fog lights are standard, while customers can choose from the entire selection of body colours including the flashy Firecracker Red, Punk’n Orange, Hellayella Yellow and Mojito Green.

Also joining the Wrangler lineup for 2020 is the Wrangler Black & Tan edition, which features 17-inch Machine Granite wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, side steps, low-gloss badging and, as the name implies, a premium tan soft top. Once again, all exterior colours are available.

The interior adds a Wizard Black-painted instrument panel mid bolster and Heritage Tan cloth seats, not to mention the Technology Group with dual-zone climate control, a seven-inch Uconnect centre display and an equally sized driver display.

“The Wrangler Willys harkens back to the original Jeep while the Wrangler Black & Tan offers a unique look with a tan top,” said Jim Morrison, head of the Jeep brand in North America. “We are proud that both new models will add to the wide appeal Jeep Wrangler already offers.”

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Willys and Black & Tan editions can both be ordered now. They have a Canadian MSRP of $2,900 and $1,995 over the Sport S, respectively.
