Audi Bringing RS3 Into Light in Frankfurt?

Published on August 29, 2009 in Frankfurt by Dan Fritter

Well, after suffering through a year of auto shows that closer resembled the Sea of Tranquility, Frankfurt appears to be the shining light at the end of this recession-filled tunnel, and Audi wants to get in on the party.

Although it’s been the brand’s R8 sports car/supercar that’s been stealing a lot of the headlines as of late with rumours of a cabriolet and/or possible electric variant to be unveiled, now there’s a new rumour going around that the big news from the four-ringed brand may be substantially more interesting to 99% of the car buying public: a new version of the brand’s entry level A3 model.

Of course, the rumoured RS3 may still launch itself out of many people’s price ranges, but it would definitely be more attainable than any R8 ever will be. And with a reported 400 horsepower from the Audi TT RS powerplant and Quattro all-wheel drive, it would certainly reign supreme as the hot hatch to end all hot hatches.
