This Special-edition Subaru Forester Has a Dubious Acronym
Automakers sometimes choose vehicle names that sound funny or weird in certain languages, but it’s not like they do it on purpose.
This time, it’s different. At the Singapore Auto Show this week, Subaru presented a number of concepts and modified cars including one that’s officially known as “Forester Ultimate Customised Kit Special” edition.

That’s such a mouthful. However, simply using the acronym—FUCKS—is not much better.
What were company executives thinking when they agreed to showcase this dubiously branded vehicle inside their booth? We understand they wanted to demonstrate to customers the tuning potential of their Forester, but all people are talking about right now is the name.
The colour combination is fairly questionable, too. There is Subaru’s Rally Blue paint for the body, light red strips on the hood that extend under the side windows (and others at the bottom of the door panels), plus acid yellow brake callipers behind the sleek 20-inch Enkei alloy wheels.
Other highlights include a lowered suspension, low-profile tires, a big rear spoiler, side skirts and redesigned bumpers.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any details about the upgrades made under the hood. The new Forester is not a monster with 182 horsepower, so anything that boosts output would be appreciated.
As for the interior, STI sports seats are a nice addition. Top Gear Philippines also mentions a custom audio system, blue ambient lighting up front and a pair of tablet-style monitors for rear-seat entertainment.
What do you think of this special-edition Forester and more specifically the name?
