Genesis Mint Concept on Display at Montreal Auto Show

Published on January 16, 2020 in Montreal by The Car Guide

Genesis is still a pretty young car brand with lots of options to expand its lineup. We know a coupe is coming, and chances are it will share similarities with the cute little Mint concept making its Canadian debut at the 2020 Montreal Auto Show this week.

First shown in New York last spring, the Genesis Mint is described as a two-door coupe with a fully electric powertrain.

The lines are so sleek, the interior is so thoughtfully designed and the door opening mechanism is so spectacular that we at The Car Guide named it our 2020 Design of the Year.

Few technical details are available as the Mint concept is closer to a design study than a pre-production model. Genesis claims it offers a range of 322 kilometres and would be able to support fast charging at 350 kWh.

What parts of the Genesis Mint will be carried over to a future vehicle? It’s too early to say at this point, but there seems to be exciting times ahead for fans of the Korean luxury brand.

The current lineup includes the G70, G80, G80 Sport and G90 sedans. The GV80 crossover unveiled this week will go on sale later this year.
