2020 Chevrolet Corvette Production Has Now Begun
Workers at the Bowling Green assembly plant in Kentucky have now started to build the all-new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette.
Initially, production was supposed to begin in late fall 2019, after completion of the seventh-generation Corvette, but the UAW strike at General Motors disrupted everything.

The first deliveries to customers are scheduled for the end of February or early March. Those who have ordered a copy of the Corvette Convertible will have to wait a few more months.
As previously reported, the first mid-engine Corvette sold for $3.9 million CAD at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona a couple of weeks ago. It is a fully loaded, black-on-black 3LT model.
The owner is Rick Hendrick, the American businessman at the helm of Hendrick Motorsports. He told the Detroit Free Press that he doesn’t intend to ever drive the car.
The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette marks the first time since the iconic sports car’s debut in 1953 that the engine is mounted behind the cockpit. It also abandoned the manual transmission in the process.
