Pair of Wienermobiles For Sale in Alberta at $12,000

The iconic Wienermobile, originally created in 1936 by the Oscar Mayer company in the U.S., is without a doubt one of the most famous advertising vehicles in the world—the very definition of a “head-turner.”

A number of copies have been built over the years and some of them are still driving. You’d like to own one? How about two?

That’s what you’ll find on a new Kijiji ad posted in Calgary, Alberta. The company in charge of operating these Wienermobiles recently went bankrupt, so a parent company of Oscar Mayer Canada is putting them up for sale.

The vehicles were manufactured in 2006 and stand over eight metres long. They use a diesel engine, automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Meanwhile, the cabin has four seats, air conditioning, a sunroof, navigation and push-button start. The ad even mentions a parking assistant, which definitely comes in handy.

As for mileage, the Wienermobiles have reportedly logged about 69,000 kilometres. A CARFAX vehicle history report is available. Pricing is set at $12,000.

If you’re interested, just call the number 1-250-329-9786. Apparently, the seller gets 100 phone calls every hour and so far the ad has been viewed nearly 300,000 times, so hurry!

By the way, the peanut car on the photo is not for sale.
