Some Relief for Hyundai, Nissan and Toyota Customers in Canada

Published on March 23, 2020 in News by Guillaume Rivard

A few days after Ford, other car companies have announced special measures to help their existing customers and convince people to visit their showrooms to buy a new car during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hyundai

First, Hyundai Canada is offering one- and three-month payment deferral options for lease and financing customers, respectively. Those in self-isolation can also delay their vehicle return at the end of their lease term by up to three months.

Meanwhile, new customers can request a six-month payment deferral on any new vehicle financed at a Hyundai dealership. And similar to recent actions taken by Canadian banks, there’s a rate break of 1 percent on most models.

Nissan

Nissan Canada Finance will provide payment rescheduling arrangements for customers on a case-by-case basis, though details have not been specified at the time of writing. Those who wish to inquire about the possible arrangements can email the company at NCFcustomer.service@nissancanada.com.

Toyota/Lexus

Toyota Financial Services is offering payment relief for its customers to help them through the COVID-19 crisis. Once again, their needs will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you own a Toyota vehicle, you can request payment relief by calling customer service at 1-800-661-3062. For Lexus customers, the phone number is 1-800-26-LEXUS.
