Published on March 31, 2020 in News by Guillaume Rivard

A number of vehicle manufacturing plants are currently idled around the globe and lots of people must stay home to help fight the spread of COVID-19. Want a cool way to pass the time while learning about cars? How about taking a virtual tour of Audi’s production plant in Ingolstadt, Germany?

Thanks to AudiStream, it’s now possible.

Equivalent to the size of Monaco, the largest Audi factory worldwide built more than 440,000 vehicles in 2019 alone—an average of 2,300 daily. Some 45,000 workers are responsible for that.

The tour lasts 15-20 minutes and is completely free of charge. Fans of the four rings will experience the A3 bodyshop and the A4 assembly line, for instance. They will even get to see the point when the engines are switched on for the very first time.

All along the way, an experienced tour guide is there to answer all sorts of questions over a live interactive discussion or online chat.

Just go to www.audi.stream, pick a time slot and specify the models and topics that interest you the most.

And when you’re done, check out our selection of car shows to stream and auto museums to discover while in quarantine.
