Volvo's C30 Gets a Facelift

Volvo’s tiny, uniquely styled hatchback has been on the market only a few short years, but Volvo has already seen fit to give the quality-packed hatchback a pretty serious facelift in order to keep their entry level model in line with the brand’s new styling.

Out front, a new grille shape is surrounded by a more organic front fascia that’s substantially deeper than the relatively flat front of the previous model. Headlights closely resemble the equally new C70 convertible, and the new silver trim around the lower valence and fog lights move the C30 significantly upscale. Out back, the barrel-shaped hatch remains, although the Volvo script across the hatch is now larger, and the rear bumper cover slightly smoother to mirror the organic changed to the front end.

Most interesting to enthusiasts will be the new Sport suspension. Lowering the car 10 mm and refitting the entire suspension with firmer bushings, dampers and sway bars while steering is sharpened by a quicker steering ratio; something the T5 definitely needed.
