2020 Dodge Challenger Commemorative Edition is a Smokeshow

Published on June 5, 2020 in News by Guillaume Rivard

Back in November, Fiat-Chrysler (FCA) introduced a 50th Anniversary Edition of the Dodge Challenger, available in Canada in a limited series of 70 cars all painted in Go Mango (orange). Today the automaker doubles down on nostalgia with a new Commemorative Edition and unique colour.

Highlights start with a Satin Black hand-painted hood and black-wrapped roof and decklid spoiler, along with 20-inch Gold School alloy wheels. There’s also a bunch of exclusive badges, like a “Challenger 50” on the grille, spoiler and instrument panel, illuminated Air Catcher headlamps with LED-illuminated “50” logos, and a Satin Black fuel-filler door with heritage “FUEL” lettering. Gunmetal-painted Brembo brakes are available.

The interior of the Commemorative Edition continues the 50th anniversary celebration with embroidered “50” logos on the premium berber floor mats and Nappa/Alcantara performance seats. The digital display in front of the driver shows a 1970 Challenger when the car fires up and is flanked by white-faced gauges with yellow accents.

The doors feature Alcantara inserts, while the instrument panel and console bezels sport real carbon fibre. There’s sepia accent stitching throughout, as well.

Unfortunately, no modifications or upgrades were made to the chassis or powertrain.

The Commemorative Edition package is available on the 2020 Dodge Challenger R/T, Scat Pack 392 and Scat Pack 392 Widebody models. Body colour selection includes Granite, Indigo Blue, Octane Red, Pitch Black, Triple Nickel, White Knuckle and the new Smoke Show.

Pricing will be announced later.
