The Kia Telluride Goes All Black for 2021

Kia is coming out with a special edition of its popular three-row midsize sport utility vehicle, the Telluride.

If it bears the Nightfall Edition name south of the border, the Canadian side of Kia settled for the Special Edition badge.

It rides the current fashion trend, which is to black out all stylistic elements on the vehicle. That being said, this new edition is distinguished by a grille, wheels, roof rails, exterior mouldings, protection plates and emblems that are all painted in black. Even the inner headlight bezels have been blacked out. To state the obvious, the body is also painted black.

In short, there is a total absence of contrasts or chrome elements.

For 2021, the Telluride will start at $48,205, which is a good $1,200 bump over the 2020 pricing, which was the Telluride’s first year on the market.

It shares many of its components with the Hyundai Palisade. And it is powered by a 3.8 L V6 engine that outputs 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which in turn feeds the standard all-wheel drive system. A great asset for the winter!
