Don’t Miss the 2022 Honda Civic Debut Wednesday Night

The all-new, eleventh-generation 2022 Honda Civic will finally make its official debut on Wednesday night at around 9 p.m. ET. The event will be part of a virtual concert on Twitch marking the 20th anniversary of the Civic Tour.

As you know, Honda has already provided a couple of previews, starting last November with the Civic Prototype, then two weeks ago with a first look at the production model, which is slated to hit showrooms this summer.

We’re of course talking about the sedan, here. The two-door coupe is not coming back, while the Civic Hatchback (including the high-performance Civic Type R) will follow in a few months.

For this latest evolution of Canada’s best-selling car, the exterior design is a bit more mature and conservative, with a less predominant grille and updated lighting. Doesn’t it remind you of the Honda Accord, too?

Inside, look for a more spacious and more convenient environment developed with a new focus on simplicity. Honda is embracing a current trend across the auto industry while also adding some unique elements, as shown in the sketch below.

The company says it will be the most fun-to-drive and most technologically advanced Civic sedan in nearly 50 years of history, with more powerful and more fuel-efficient engines, as well as “multiple new Civic-first features and technologies.” Intrigued?

The Car Guide will have complete coverage of the 2022 Honda Civic world premiere including the important technical details, lots of pictures, and an interview with Honda Canada’s Assistant VP Hayato Mori. Watch this space a few minutes past 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday night!
