Ford Mustang, Mach-E Get White-hot in New Ice White Edition

Published on August 27, 2021 in News by Germain Goyer

Ford took a page out of its Mustang history book with the introduction of the new Mustang Ice White Edition Appearance Package for both the Mustang coupe and Mustang Mach-E electric crossover.

The vehicles were revealed as part of the Woodward Dream Cruise in Michigan a week ago.

It’s the first time in 28 years Ford is offering a white-on-white Mustang, the last one being a 1993 Mustang from the Fox Body generation. Back then, only 1,500 cabriolets received the special treatment. For 2022, the company is doing the opposite, meaning fans of the Mustang Convertible will be left out.

In the case of the Mustang Mach-E, Star White Metallic Tri-Coat paint includes unique Star White mirror caps and wheel lip mouldings to ice-out the exterior. Front and center on the grille is an Oxford White pony badge, which also appears between the tri-bar taillamps. The package adds unique 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with Oxford White-painted pockets.

Inside, Light Space Gray sets the cabin stage, appearing on the seats, centre console and door-panel armrests. This is complemented by a Bright Silver hex-patterned instrument panel plus an Oxford White pony badge on the steering wheel. Orders for the 2022 Mustang Mach-E Ice White Edition open in the fall.

Available on Mustang EcoBoost and GT Premium coupes, the Mustang Ice White Edition comes exclusively in Oxford White and features unique iced-out taillights, plus heritage-inspired 19-inch wheels in matching Oxford White with machine-surfaced pockets. There are Oxford White pony badges and fender badging, as well.

The black-and-white interior features Oxford White leather seat inserts front and rear, plus Oxford White leather door panels. An aluminum appliqué on the dash and white accent stitching on the centre console, door panels, shifter boot, headrests and more add icing on the cake. Ice White Edition Appearance Package-equipped Mustangs will arrive at dealers in early 2022.

Ford has yet to announce pricing details.
