For Sale: Porsche Family Watch Collection

Published on November 29, 2009 in News by Dan Fritter

Porsche doesn’t just make cars. As a design studio, they’re responsible for the shapes of everything from watches to radios, with the former being quite well known. Purchasing Eterna some fourteen years ago, Porsche came into one of the most popular independent swiss watchmakers extant. Ever since, Eterna has produced Porsche Design watches for everyone from the Porsche family to Jerry Seinfeld.

However, it might come as a surprise that the family’s interest in watches expands beyond their financial interest. With an extensive collection, the Porsche family purported holds timepieces from Rolex, Panerai, Eberhard, Jaeger LeCoultre, Breitling, Chronoswiss and Omega among others. And now they’re all for sale. Including 49 watches from the personal collection of the Porsche family, the collection will go on sale on the 2nd of December at Bonhams Auctions.
