Kia EV9 Concept to Show How Big Kia EVs Can Be
Kia has revealed the first official pictures of the EV9 Concept, which will make its official debut next week at AutoMobility LA a.k.a. the Los Angeles Auto Show.
A production model will eventually follow, slotting at the top of Kia’s electric vehicle lineup.

Larger than the EV6 crossover we already know, the Kia EV9 is a midsize SUV with proportions similar to those of the Telluride. As you can see on these images, it’s nowhere near close to rolling off the assembly line.
What we have is a highly futurisitic concept that seems to go in a different direction than the EV6, with much more angular lines and a brand new take on the front grille and headlights, not to mention the taillights. The lower body and wheel arches feature plastic cladding in a contrasting finish, suggesting a rugged, adventure-ready family hauler. A panoramic roof is also included.
The two pictures of the interior show a clean dashboard capped by an ultra-wide digital interface. There’s also a unique, horizontally stretched, hexagon-shaped steering wheel and a long centre console. Notice how physical buttons have been completely eliminated. Kia promises a “light, flexible and adaptive interior space as the experience of the journey evolves.”
The full reveal will take place on November 17. The Car Guide will be on hand at the Los Angeles Auto Show to give you more details and a closer look.
