Published on December 10, 2009 in News by The Car Guide

From January 15 to 24, 2010, the Palais des congrès de Montréal will be host to the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS). Once again this year, every manufacturer will be on hand to present their latest models and innovations.

A host of exceptional events and attractions

Each new year brings new and exciting attractions to the Auto Show and this year is certainly no exception! Prepare to hold on tight and take your senses for a ride in the all new Auto123.COM Interactive Zone, where you will have the chance to try out one of our five thrilling race car simulators, including one incredible model not found anywhere else on the planet and available for the very first time in Canada! Get ready to experience up to 2 G's of raw power! Also for your enjoyment, three brand new attractions presented by Auto Hebdo will be featured throughout the Show: a private collection of 1930's Classic Cars, selected by John Scotti Auto, the stunning Microcars featuring the smallest vehicle ever manufactured – the Peel P50 – as well as the captivating attraction Quebec Creations, a collection of cars created in Quebec since the earliest days of the automotive era. You will be amazed by what you discover!

The environmental segment of the Show, On Route to the Future, presented by Natural Resources Canada, will feature a whole new look this year and will focus its attention on new and upcoming technologies. Namely, four universities will be on hand to showcase their most recent achievements. And what about 7th Heaven? Rest assured, the pearly gates will remain opened this year with an all new collection of breathtaking automobiles that will fuel the dreams of enthusiastic visitors! Riding on its incredible success in 2009, visitors will once again have the opportunity to test drive alternative energy vehicles. The MIAS annual blood donor clinic, presented in collaboration with Héma-Québec and CTV Montreal, will be held at the Complexe Guy-Favreau (Level 00) from Monday, January 18 to Friday, January 22, 2010. Once again, we call upon the generosity of all Montrealers to keep this wonderful tradition alive and strong.

Pink days for a worthy cause

For the very first time in its long history, the MIAS will feature a woman as president: Ms. Carole Leblanc. In honour of this occasion, the colour pink – the official colour of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation – will be featured at this year's event. In fact, January 18, 19 and 20 have been designated “pink days” in support of breast cancer research. During the course of these very special days, the MIAS will donate $2 to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation for every ticket sold to visitors wearing either a pink garment or a pink accessory. The MIAS is proud to contribute to such a worthy cause and we hope that you will show your support by joining us... just don’t forget to wear your “prettiest pink"!
