2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Range Now Exceeds 500 Km

The addition of the Ice White Edition is not the only highlight of the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E. The company has indeed made a few other changes to its electric crossover such as increasing the range.

The big star is the California Route 1 model with rear-wheel drive, which is up from 491 to 505 kilometres according to Natural Resources Canada. It’s even available with all-wheel drive now, and range is an impressive 502 kilometres.

Heated seats and a heated steering wheel come standard with the California Route 1, making it the No.1 option for Canadian drivers.

The ratings by Natural Resources Canada also indicate that the Premium models with extended range and RWD can now travel 488 kilometres (+5), while those with AWD cover up to 446 kilometres (+11).

Select and Premium models with standard range get a boost, as well. For 2022, drivers can expect to achieve 397 or 360 kilometres depending on their drivetrain selection.

These range improvements are the result of increased usable battery capacity. Standard-range Mach-Es now have 70 kWh usable energy, while those with extended range now have 91 kWh usable energy.

Also for 2022, the black painted roof is now standard on the top-line Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition (it used to be an $850 option). Grabber Blue Metallic and Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat are now available on all models, and Iced Blue Silver Metallic is new to the 2022 model year.
