2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Adds Screens, Appearance Packages

Jeep’s plan to launch the all-new, three-row Grand Cherokee L as a 2021 model is now forcing the company to do some catching up.

You see, the regular, two-row Grand Cherokee waited until the 2022 model year to get a complete overhaul, but it received a number of features and amenities that were missing from its big brother—and the other midsize SUVs in the segment.

Jeep has just fixed that. In particular, the 2022 Grand Cherokee L is now available with a 10.25-inch front passenger screen (for navigation, camera viewing and visual entertainment) as well as dual 10.1-inch rear-seat entertainment displays with built-in Amazon Fire TV (which operates through the in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot or a mobile device hotspot). Customers need to select a Limited, Overland, Summit or Summit Reserve model to get them.

Including the 10.1-inch centre touchscreen and digital instrument panel, plus the available head-up display, the Grand Cherokee L boasts more than 50 inches of total available digital screen space. By the way, passengers can watch Amazon Prime Video content without connectivity thanks to 16 GB of built-in storage for each rear display.

Meanwhile, new Limited Black and Summit High Altitude packages add distinct exterior appearance details, including 20-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels on Limited, 21-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels on Summit, Gloss Black exterior accents and badging, roof rails and a unique seven-slot grille.
There are also three new exterior colours to choose from—Ember, Hydro Blue and Midnight Sky.

Canadian customers can already order their 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or the two-row variant at their local Jeep dealer. To learn more about Jeep’s midsize SUV, watch the video below.
