Chevrolet Teases Blazer SS Performance EV Coming in 2023

Published on March 9, 2022 in News by Frédéric Mercier

Chevrolet has just shared a bit more details about the upcoming Blazer EV that was announced last fall.

It will be the first Chevy electric vehicle to feature a performance SS (Super Sport) model, reviving a moniker that was given to several of the brand’s sportier cars in the past.

There was even a Chevrolet SS available in the U.S. from 2013-2017, but we never got it here in Canada.

No specs are available at this stage, but the company has released a short video teasing the introduction of the Blazer SS. The red-bodied model rides on large, SS-branded alloy wheels.

The Blazer SS will make its debut later this year and will be available in the spring of 2023.

As a reminder, Chevrolet is also busy working on electric variants of the Equinox and Silverado. The only battery-powered vehicles in the lineup right now are the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Chevrolet Bolt EUV.
