Alfa Romeo Giulia, Stelvio Get Estrema Limited Edition for 2023
For the first time ever, Alfa Romeo has created a globally available limited model. Called “Estrema” (an Italian word for extreme), this one joins the Giulia and Stelvio lineups for the 203 model year.
Don’t let the name fool you: the special model is not the ultimate expression of the two Alfa Romeo vehicles. Rather, it slots between the Veloce and Quadrifoglio.

The Estrema borrows from the latter its limited-slip differential and standard active suspension, which reads the road and quickly adjusts shock valving to deliver greater handling characteristics at speed while maintaining a comfortable ride. Of course, the control system acts according to the selected mode on the Alfa Romeo DNA performance switch in the centre console.
Interestingly, the Estrema edition benefitted from the expertise of Alfa Romeo’s F1 team to make it lighter and more agile, though the weight reduction is not specified.
The engine is the same as the Veloce models. The Giulia Estrema and Stelvio Estrema feature a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder that produces 280 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque via an eight-speed automatic transmission. They accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and 5.6 seconds, respectively, according to Alfa Romeo.
The Estrema exterior wears a carbon fibre finish on the grille and mirror caps, while dark “Estrema” badging hangs on the fenders and rear. The B-pillar and side window trim are covered in gloss black, just like the brake callipers and alloy wheels (19-inch on Giulia Estrema, 21-inch on Stelvio Estrema). An optional staggered wheel package for the Giulia Estrema adds a wider rear wheel/tire combo. Customers can also choose from four body colours including Alfa White, Alfa Rosso, Misano Blue and Vulcano Black.
As for the cabin, look for red stitching on the leather dashboard, steering wheel, centre armrest, shift lever and upper door panel coverings, as well as Quadrifoglio-like carbon fibre accents on parts of the dashboard, doors and centre console. Sport seats, a dual-pane sunroof and 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system complete the package.
Ordering for the Alfa Romeo Giulia Estrema and Stelvio Estrema is now open with availability in the third quarter of 2022. Pricing starts at $66,995 for the sedan and $69,295 for the SUV, plus a destination charge of $2,095.
