The 2023 Hyundai Palisade Gets New Style and Tech

The three-row Hyundai Palisade was released three years ago and it didn’t take long for Hyundai to start tweaking it. The Korean manufacturer unveiled today at the New York Auto Show the latest iteration of this full-size SUV which now has different exterior styling, interior enhancement as well as new technologies to keep it up to date.

Styling Updates

Outside, the 2023 Palisade gets a wider front fascia with a modified cascading grille, flanked by vertically connected daytime running lights along with new LED headlamps. The front-end looks ore like a very large Tucson mixed with Santa Cruz, which gives it more bite and presence than the outgoing model. Hyundai is also introducing a new, 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheel design as well as auto-dimming exterior mirrors. The rest of the exterior design remains generally untouched.

The Palisade’s interior also gets enhancements. The dashboard receives styling changes with new slim horizontal air vents that connect and give the impression of width up front. Hyundai’s latest in terms of infotainment and instrumentation technologies with the digital cluster found on many new vehicles in the lineup. The optional infotainment screen gets bigger spanning 12 inches diagonally at the top of the dashboard.

Hyundai also introduces its first digital, full-display center rearview mirror, as well as quicker-charging USB ports and wireless charging. The connected Blue Link interface was also enhanced with new features like Connected Routing, Last Mile Navigation and remote start with seat heating/ventilation possibilities.

New Urban Trim

Hyundai also introduced a new “Urban" trim, the XRT, for the 2023 Palisade, which is a dark-themed model that joins the Santa Fe and Tucson XRT models. It sports a specific set of 20-inch wheels, model-specific front and rear fascia, rugged-look lower door trim, a front grille with a darker finish and a set of black roof rails.

The Palisade’s hardware remains the same under the hood, with the 3.8-litre V6 boasting an output of 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. It is hooked up to a and eight-speed automatic transmission and available HTRAC all-wheel drive.
