2023 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate is Just Like the Name Says

Similar to what it did with the Sierra full-size pickup for 2022, GMC is taking its largest SUV to new heights with the 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate.

This luxurious model will go up against the Jeep Wagoneer Series III, Ford Expedition Platinum, Toyota Sequoia Capstone and the like, catering to families that crave even more opulence and comfort.

As the ultimate Yukon, distinctive touches include exclusive Vader Chrome finish accents and Galvano appointments positioned on the front fascia, more chrome on the sides and a set of unique 22-inch wheels in an ultra-bright, machined finish.

The interior stands out with Alpine Umber full-grain leather, exclusive plaited contrast stitching and genuine, open-pore Paldao woodgrain trim with a laser-etched topographical map of Mount Denali. A similar map is found on the seatbacks.

The front seats offer 16-way power adjustments along with a massage function, while the first Bose Performance Series audio system in a GMC vehicle features 18 speakers, some of which are integrated within the front head restraints. Cool. Etched metal speaker grilles add to the elegant look.

Of course, there’s plenty of cutting-edge tech inside the 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate starting with the available, trailering-capable Super Cruise driver assistance system, which can automatically change lanes or tow while driving hands-free on more than 320,000 kilometres of compatible roads across Canada and the U.S.

Furthermore, the 10.2-inch centre touchscreen (we wish it could be a little bigger) is powered by a premium infotainment system with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus available Wi-Fi hotspot and Amazon Alexa built-in.

As for power, customers can choose either the 6.2-litre gasoline V8 or the 3.0-litre Duramax turbo-diesel engine. In both cases, an adaptive air suspension with Magnetic Ride Control and Active Response 4WD system with electronic limited-slip differential and two-speed transfer case come standard.

The 2023 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate will go on sale this fall and Canadian pricing will be announced closer to launch. For the record, a 2022 Yukon Denali retails from $81,148.
