Pre-Owned Toyota Camry: What Price Should You Pay?
The Toyota Camry has been the best-selling medium-size sedan in Canada since its redesign in 2018. Despite the SUV’s overwhelming popularity, the Camry still wins a lot of families’ hearts.
If you’re interested in this very reputable car, but are looking to buy a pre-owned model, it will not be very hard to find one that suits your needs and budget. Now, how much should you pay for it?

Before going any further, two things must be said. First, a brand new Toyota Camry currently has a price range going from $27,000 to $42,000. Second, because of low inventories in most dealerships, a pre-owned Camry is currently worth more than it did a year ago.
On Otogo.ca, you’ll find many Camry examples for sale—including hybrids—that cover model years from 2004 to 2021. Generally, prices vary between $6,000 and $48,000. Yes, some pre-owned Camry models now sell for more than brand new ones!
If you look close enough, you’ll see that no previous-generation Camry (2012-2017) is listed under $14,000. For that price, its mileage will range from 100,000 km to more than 200,000 km.
For less than $20,000, which is a reasonable budget, you’ll find interesting 2016 and 2017 Camrys. Half of them will exceed the 100,000 km mark, but most are in very good condition. They are in majority LE and SE trims, but some XSE sports models and some hybrids can be found among them.
If you’re looking to pull the trigger on a current-generation Camry, prices usually start around $24,000 for a 2018 model, which is not too far from a brand new 2022 Camry. As mentioned earlier, you can spend well beyond $40,000 for a recent and well-equipped model, like a performance-oriented Camry V6 TRD. In some cases, they’ll even have a panoramic roof and red leather seats.
One of the better offers we have found is a 2018 Camry SE with 97,000 km for just under $23,000. It has a 2.5-litre engine producing 203 horsepower and shows almost no signs of wear.
Happy Camry hunting!
