Ford Adds Heritage and Heritage Limited Editions to 2023 Bronco and Bronco Sport
Ford is celebrating the original 1966 Bronco by adding a Heritage and Heritage Limited edition to the lineup for 2023 for all Bronco and Bronco Sport variants.
Aesthetically, the Bronco Heritage shows off a two-tone paint scheme that includes Oxford White accents. The white grille features red FORD lettering. The 17-inch aluminum wheels are painted in white and the side stripes also complement that classic look.

The boxy fenders are widened by nearly two inches along with standard steel front bumper with tow hooks and integrated fog lights. The Sasquatch Package, which includes a High-Off-Road Stability (H.O.S.S.) 2.0 suspension system, Bilstein shocks and 35-inch wheels, is also standard.
The interior features checkered cloth seats and an Oxford White dashboard.
It’s based on the Big Ben variant. In that sense, the Heritage Edition uses the 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. It can be paired with either a 7-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Enhanced styling
The Heritage Limited Edition, on the other hand, uses the Badlands version. As a result, it shares the same mechanical elements, namely a 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 producing 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. It is mated exclusively to the 10-speed transmission.
Otherwise, its distinctive features include a metallic "Bronco" badge on the fenders, leather/vinyl-trimmed plaid seats with white and red stitching, and a unique Heritage Limited console emblem.
The Heritage Bronco is available in five exterior paint options, while the Heritage Limited is available exclusively in Blue Green. The Yellowstone Metallic, which is based on Ford's 1971 Prairie Yellow hue, is expected to be available late in the 2023 model year. The Peak Blue colour is scheduled to arrive for the 2024 model year.
Similar treatment for the Bronco Sport
Like the Bronco, the Bronco Sport features a white grille with red "Bronco" lettering, white wheels and side stripes. The interior gets checkered fabric seats, as well as contrasting Oxford white elements in the door trims.
The Bronco Sport Heritage is available in seven paint options, including Blue Green, while the Heritage Limited is available exclusively in Blue Green, Yellowstone Metallic and Peak Blue.
The Heritage Limited version gets the metallic "Bronco" on the fenders and 29-inch all-terrain tires. As for the interior, it includes leather seats, Oxford White painted door elements and the emblem on the centre console.
This one is also built on the Big Bend trim. It uses the 1.5-litre EcoBoost three-cylinder engine that generates 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. The Heritage Limited edition is powered by a 2.0-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque under the hood.
In addition, Ford will only build 1,966 units of each Heritage Limited variant in the U.S. to commemorate the launch year of the original Bronco.
Ford has yet to release pricing and availability of the Heritage and Heritage Limited editions for the Canadian market.
