All-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek to be Revealed Sept. 15
Subaru is gearing up for a major reveal on September 15. And a new teaser posted today hints at what it will be.
In the video, the company is merely talking about a “new SUV,” without giving a name, but it’s easy to figure out that we’re looking at the next-generation Crosstrek, due to launch next year as a 2024 model in North America. In other markets, the vehicle is simply known as XV.

Remember, the current Crosstrek was introduced for 2018, so a redesign makes total sense after a six-year run. Also, you must know that camouflaged prototypes have been caught testing since last fall. Clearly, the time has come for the new Crosstrek to show its face.
The short clip provides a dark, distant look at the vehicle in order to maintain suspense up until the world premiere in two weeks, but we can still see a few elements from up close such as the headlights, front grille and taillights.
As usual, don’t expect a radical transformation from Subaru. The silhouette and overall design won’t change that much—it will be all about the details. We believe the artist rendering below from Russian website Kolesa.ru paints a pretty good picture.
Inside, will the 2024 Crosstrek adopt a large, vertical touchscreen similar to that of the Legacy and Outback? Or maybe a side-by-side arrangement of digital displays like a growing number of modern vehicles? We’ll see.
As for the powertrain, little information has surfaced so far. In Canada, we’ll likely get the same 2.0- and 2.5-litre engines, maybe with a slight bump in horsepower (currently 152 hp and 182 hp). It’s a mystery when it comes to the disappointing Crosstrek PHEV.
