This is Honda’s Reminder That the New 2023 Pilot is Coming

Honda is going big—literally—as it wraps up its “Year of the Crossover.” The next-generation Pilot will be revealed this fall, joining the equally new 2023 HR-V and CR-V that we saw in the past few months.

Once again, we get a teaser with a pair of images showing part of the front and rear ends.

The model we have here is the TrailSport, which is more adventurous and geared for off-road driving. Honda claims this particular Pilot will become its most rugged SUV ever, with standard all-terrain tires, steel skid plates, off-road tuned suspension and expanded all-wheel drive system capabilities.

Honda engineers put it to the test on challenging terrains and in adverse conditions in order to ensure the new Pilot TrailSport can withstand some abuse, as seen on a couple more pictures released by the company.

The idea is to go head-to-head with competitors like the Ford Explorer TimberlineGMC Acadia AT4, Kia Telluride X-Line and Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek, not to mention the Jeep Grand Cherokee L.

While Honda has yet to reveal any part of the interior, the similarities between the 2023 Pilot and the 2023 CR-V on the outside suggest the former will draw inspiration from its little brother inside, as well. That likely means a new touchscreen rising from the top of the dashboard and a long horizontal mesh grille underneath concealing the air vents.

We also expect the Pilot to remain one of the segment leaders in terms of space, practicality and reliability, keeping large and active families happy. Watch this space for more Honda Pilot coverage.
