Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray With Hybrid Power to Debut Jan. 17
The brand new hybrid variant of the Chevrolet Corvette, dubbed E-Ray, will be officially revealed in a week’s time, on January 17.
We already know what it will look like, mind you, after Chevy’s online configurator accidentally went live for a few hours a month ago. A short teaser posted today on the company’s Facebook page provides another look at the car.

The Corvette E-Ray can be seen hitting the streets and some snow-covered roads following extremely brief close-ups of the headlights, wheels, front fascia, body sides and engine cover.
Styling is based on the 2023 Corvette Z06 rather than the base Stingray, as evidenced by the air intakes up front and on the sides. The latter sport body-colour trim instead of black for a softer appearance.
One particular feature shown in this teaser is a Stealth mode that likely allows drivers to start the car and leave the driveway silently in the morning, without waking up the neighbours. It doesn’t necessarily mean the Corvette E-Ray will be a plug-in hybrid with decent EV range, but quiet, zero-emission operation will be possible for short distances.
What else can we expect? Well, regenerative braking is one thing, and of course the E-Ray model will be the first production Corvette to be equipped with all-wheel drive, maximizing all-weather performance and fun. It will probably become the quickest-accelerating ever… before Chevrolet introduces a fully electric Corvette around mid-decade.
