2023 Lexus RZ 450e Priced From $64,950 in Canada
Lexus has announced pricing and equipment details for its first fully electric vehicle in Canada, the 2023 RZ 450e, which goes on sale later this winter. The all-new crossover shares its platform and many components with the Toyota bZ4X, but offers standard AWD and obviously more power and luxury.
Customers will have to spend about $2,000 more for a base RZ compared to a fully loaded bZ4X. The entry-level model, called Signature, starts at $64,950 plus freight and PDI. It is therefore not eligible to any EV rebates.

Standard content includes 18-inch alloy wheels with dark metallic grey and machined finish, LED headlamps and taillamps, NuLuxe synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, 10-speaker stereo and ambient lighting. A seven-inch digital instrument cluster is paired with a 14-inch touchscreen. In two Lexus firsts, the shift lever is replaced with a dial-type shift knob and a highly efficient radiant heater improves passenger comfort.
Next up, the Luxury model carries a retail price of $73,550. It features 20-inch wheels, a fixed glass panoramic moonroof, power liftgate, ventilated front seats with driver’s seat memory, as well as Drive Connect with navigation. There are many additional safety technologies, too, including Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist and Front Cross Traffic Alert, not to mention Parking Support with Brake and the 360-degree Lexus Panoramic View Monitor system.
The top-line RZ 450e Executive costs at least $80,950. The wheels have a gunmetal finish, while the seats are clad in Ultra-suede upholstery. Customers also get heated rear seats, a head-up display, 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, adaptive high beams, digital key and acoustic front and rear side glass for a quieter interior. Oh, and don’t forget the Lexus Advanced Park system.
Furthermore, all RZ 450e models come with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Digital Latch with Safe Exit Assist and Rear Seat Reminder.
As for specs, the dual motors combine to generate 308 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, which enables 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.6 seconds. The 71.4kWh high-volage battery provides an estimated range of 360 km with the 18-inch wheels (the exact figure has yet to be announced). Several competitors offer more power and longer range than that, but Lexus’ reputation for comfort and reliability will likely sway a bunch of potential customers.
