2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Debuts With 729 Horsepower
The impressive round of upgrades to the Porsche Cayenne for 2024 continues today with the addition of a new top-of-the-line model. With the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, Porsche engineers made sure that performance would take centre stage.
An electric motor generating 174 horsepower combines with an extensively revised, twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 making 591 horsepower. Together, they produce a total of 729 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. of torque, resulting in 0-100 km/h sprints in 3.7 seconds and a top track speed of 295 km/h.

Compared to its predecessor, the 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid feature a significantly larger high-voltage battery (25.9 kWh instead of 17.9 kWh). Pure EV range is not specified yet, but it should be significantly longer than the modest 24 km we used to have. Oh, and the new 11kW on-board charger can reduce level-2 charging times to less than 2.5 hours.
More Comfortable and More Stylish, Too
Drivers are sure to love the standard adaptive air suspension system that features new two-chamber, two-valve technology. This allows separate adjustability of both compression and rebound settings, enhancing comfort and handling while expanding the breadth between the Comfort and Sport Plus settings.
Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) is also included as standard on the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) as well as rear-axle steering can be ordered as options at an extra cost.
Meanwhile, designers gave the new electrified model a Turbo-specific front fascia with larger air intakes and air blades finished in high-gloss black. The wheel arches and the lower rear fascia are painted in body colour. Further highlights include two dual exhaust tailpipes made of brushed aluminum and red brake calipers.
Inside, aluminum trim on the dash and doors as well as a roof liner in Race-Tex microfiber fabric create a sporty ambiance. Standard equipment encompasses a heated GT Sport steering wheel with a switch to select the preferred drive mode as well as 18-way adjustable leather Sport seats. Alternatively, 14-way adjustable leather Comfort seats can be selected.
