Porsche 911 Turbo S: the escalation continues…
The all new Porsche 911 Turbo, which has just shown it’s nose in America, announces it’s “S” series, revealed in a great world première, next March in Geneva.
The standard Porsche 911 Turbo has inherited a new engine that for the first time reaches 500 HP. But that does not seem sufficient, for now a new “S” series is about to be offered.
Porsche 911 Turbo S:
For this event, this new arrival has been graced with an engine developing no less than 530 HP and, more importantly, a torque of 516 ft-lb. In addition, only the PDK twin clutch seven speed transmission system is reserved for this model.
As it should be, this new ride remains faithful to the principle of the AWD (All Wheel Drive) system, with auto-locking differential.
On a Porsche, whatever the model, braking is powerful and sure. And this one is no exception to the rule. Excellence in braking is acquired by using carbon and ceramic PCCB discs, that are standard.
Outrageous performances:
Offered in coupé (two-door) and convertible versions, the Porsche 911 Turbo S promises devilish performances. As it is, this car can reach 100 km/h in only 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 315 km/h.
Notwithstanding this high performance cavalry, this speedster aims at more respect for the environment. In this way, manufacturer’s data states average gas consumption of only 11,4 L/100 km.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S will be launched on the European market as of next May. Announced prices for Canada are of 200 000$ for the coupé and 213 200$ for the convertible.
