2025 Volvo EX30 Full Pricing Details Revealed

Published on October 3, 2023 in Electric by Guillaume Rivard

Unveiled to the world this June in Milan and shown in a Canadian premiere later this summer in Montreal, the all-new EX30 is a small electric crossover boasting pretty decent range and the fastest acceleration of any production Volvo to date. Not only that, but it will start at just $53,700 in Canada.

Today, the company announced full pricing details for the EX30 range. By the way, the vehicle comes with a choice of five exterior colours—Moss Yellow, Cloud Blue, Vapour Grey, Crystal White or Onyx Black—and four interior design expressions—Mist, Pine, Indigo and Breeze—complemented by five available ambient light themes.

In base Core trim, standard content includes a host of advanced safety features, such as front and rear collision mitigation and a driver alert system, along with Google built-in featuring native Google Maps and Google Assistant (on a 12.3-inch display). Also standard is wireless Apple CarPlay, not to mention a heated steering wheel and heated front seats.

Using a single electric motor rated at 268 horsepower and 253 lb-ft. of torque, the rear-wheel-drive EX30 delivers satisfying power given its diminutive size and weight. What’s more, the 69kWh battery is said to average 15.7 kWh/100 km, resulting in a range of 442 km.

Upgrading to the Plus model at $56,900 adds a two-tone exterior with Onyx Black roof and panoramic glass, 19-inch wheels and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. Next up is the Ultra model at $59,100, which includes highlights like the next generation of Pilot Assist with Lane Change Assistance, a 360-degree camera with 3D view plus Park Pilot Assist.

Then there is the dual-motor EX30 with all-wheel drive. This one generates as much as 422 horsepower and 400 lb-ft. of torque, sprinting from 0-100 km/h in a mere 3.6 seconds. Maximum range drops to an estimated 426 km, but that’s still an attractive figure.

In dual-motor configuration, the EX30 has a DC fast charging capacity of up to 153 kW. You can only have it in Plus or Ultra trim, with a base price of $59,900 or $62,100, respectively.

All EX30 models are eligible to a $5,000 EV rebate from the Canadian government’s iZEV program in addition to provincial incentives of up to $7,000 where applicable.

Since this is a MY2025 vehicle we’re talking about, patience is still required. Volvo Canada says customers will be able to configure and reserve their EX30 later this fall, whether online or through a dealer, with deliveries expected to start next summer.

If you’d like a slightly larger Volvo EV, there’s always the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge (both starting at $59,950). As for the three-row EX90 unveiled earlier this year, it’s expected to launch sometime in the first half of 2024 following software-related delays in the development process.
