Chevrolet Silverado HD Adds Trail Boss Trim for 2025

Published on January 25, 2024 in News by Guillaume Rivard

As you know, the Chevrolet Silverado HD was refreshed and improved for the 2024 model year, with selection that ranges from the base WT model to the luxurious High Country and the new, adventurous ZR2. However, unlike the Silverado 1500 and Colorado, there’s something missing in the lineup: a Trail Boss package.

Chevrolet will make sure to fix that for 2025. The announcement was made today in the U.S., and Canada will inevitably follow suit.

The Silverado HD Trail Boss is designed for budget-minded customers who wish to take their truck farther off-road but don’t necessarily need or can afford the extremely capable ZR2.

The package includes a Z71 off-road suspension with a 2-inch lift and Rancho monotube shocks, increasing ground clearance and improving approach/departure angles. Unique 20-inch wheels and all-terrain tires are also included, as well as black bumpers, trim and badges, plus red tow hooks and “Trail Boss” bedside decals.

The gas-powered 6.6-litre V8 with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque comes standard, but the 6.6-litre turbo-diesel V8 can be specified, too. The latter produces 470 horsepower and a massive 975 lb-ft of torque.

Minor equipment revisions are coming to the rest of the lineup, just so you know, although details for Canada are not available yet. The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado HD is scheduled to go on sale this summer with pricing to be announced by then.
