Nissan Takes One More Step Towards Selling Cars Online

Published on May 8, 2024 in News by Guillaume Rivard

More and more people like to shop online and don’t necessarily want to test a product before they order it. Nissan has good news for them: its newly enhanced e-commerce platform is now live and fully operational.

This allows customers to start the buying process online—anytime, anywhere, as if the showroom was open 24/7—reducing the time required for in-person transactions at the dealership.

After selecting and configuring their vehicle, including options, accessories and more, customers can make a reservation with a fully refundable deposit of $500 or $1,000, depending on the model. Once the reservation is confirmed, they’ll receive an email from a Nissan dealer outlining the anticipated delivery date and the ensuing steps.

When the vehicle is delivered, all that’s left to do is to complete the purchase at the dealership. Nissan insists on the fact that emails are regularly sent to customers to keep them up-to-date during the entire process.

"With this innovative platform, our aim is to offer greater convenience and flexibility, empowering customers to navigate their car owning journey with ease. It's about providing a seamless and personalized experience that aligns with the evolving expectations of today's consumers," Nissan Canada President Steve Milette said.
