2025 Subaru Forester is More Expensive But Better Equipped, Too
The sixth-generation 2025 Subaru Forester will arrive in Canadian dealerships in just a few weeks and we can now tell you how much it costs. Unsurprisingly, prices have increased across the line following similar a move with the redesigned Crosstrek.
The entry-level Forester Convenience is $1,500 more expensive than the cheapest 2024 model and carries an all-inclusive price of $36,163.

Like every other Forester, it features a 2.5-litre BOXER engine producing 180 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, a revised symmetrical full-time AWD system with a faster response time, as well as the latest version of the EyeSight system with a wide-angle mono camera for improved detection and collision prevention.
Also included as standard are fully automatic, steering-responsive LED headlights with High Beam Assist, dual-zone automatic climate control and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the dual 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality.
It’s the only way to get a 2025 Forester for less than $40,000 before tax, incidentally. The Touring model that comes next has an all-inclusive price of $41,633, though it’s pretty well equipped if you ask us. It adds LED fog lights, a large power-sliding sunroof and proximity key with push-button start.
What’s more, the infotainment system grows to an 11.6-inch, tablet-style display with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Subaru STARLINK Connected Services are included (3-year free trial) and a wireless phone charger is added in the centre console. A leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, premium cloth seating surfaces and 10-way power adjustability for the driver’s seat are included, too. Oh, and for the first time on a Subaru, a hands-free kick sensor allows for opening and closing of the power rear liftgate.
At $43,663, the Forester Sport trades the former orange accenting for bronze, featured on the bumpers, rocker panels, new 19-inch wheels, dashboard, steering wheel and seat stitching. SI-DRIVE with Sport# mode and a sport-tuned suspension with Stablex dampers contribute to a more engaging drive, while X-MODE adds dual-function settings. Inside, the seats are covered in all-weather soft-touch material that is easy to clean, and the premium Harman Kardon sound system boasts 11 speakers.
Next up is the Limited at $45,663, enhanced with GPS navigation featuring What3words technology, Subaru’s DriverFocus distraction mitigation system, leather upholstery and 8-way power adjustable front passenger seat. The wheels on this model are 18 inches in size and have a two-tone machined finish.
As for the top-line Forester Premier, which requires an additional $2,000, you can recognize it with gloss black accents, exclusive 19-inch alloys and seating surfaces that are upgraded to a leather and Ultrasuede combo (available in black or brown). Ventilated front seats improve comfort and a surround-view monitor provides a 360-degree view around the vehicle.
No Forester Wilderness? That’s right. You’ll need to find a remaining 2024 model or else wait for 2026. Next year is also when Subaru plans to launch the highly anticipated Forester Hybrid.
