2025 Toyota Crown Signia Details and Pricing Announced for Canada
Originally introduced last fall, the all-new 2025 Toyota Crown Signia is a five-passenger, hybrid-only midsize SUV that will take over the Venza and complement the Crown sedan when it goes on sale this summer. The company today released full details including prices for Canada.
Unlike in the U.S., the Crown Signia will be offered in a single trim level called Limited and starting at an all-inclusive price of $61,081. If you remember, we warned you that it wouldn’t be cheap.

The 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine under the hood is paired with two electric motors generating 240 net horsepower—similar output to the more potent versions of the Mazda CX-50 and Subaru Outback, but with combined fuel consumption of just 6.2 L/100 km. Awesome.
A continuously variable transmission and electronic all-wheel drive system with three drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport) complete the powertrain. Maximum towing capacity is 2,700 lbs, which doesn’t match the Highlander Hybrid’s 3,500 lbs but is definitely an improvement over the Venza that wasn’t recommended for towing. Incidentally, the Crown’s Hybrid Max powertrain is not available with the Crown Signia, which is too bad yet understandable as Toyota likely doesn’t want to hurt sales of the Grand Highlander, 4Runner and Land Cruiser, although those SUVs target different customers.
Comprehensively Equipped
Offering only one trim level means Toyota Canada packed a lot into the 2025 Crown Signia. Consider the 21-inch wheels, acoustic glass in the front, hands-free power liftgate in the rear and fixed panoramic glass roof up top.
Five body colours can be specified including dark grey, black, white, bronze and red, while the interior offers black or tan upholstery. The leather-trimmed seats are heated and ventilated up front (heated in the second row), the digital instrument cluster and centre touchscreen are both 12.3 inches in size, the JBL premium sound system has 11 speakers, and a digital rear-view mirror improves visibility. There’s also a digital key for accessing and starting the vehicle.
By the way, maximum cargo capacity is 1,872 litres, so the Crown Signia can haul significantly more stuff than the Venza or the Highlander behind the second row.
An Advanced Technology Package ($2,075) adds a 360-degree camera system, outer mirrors with puddle lights and reverse tilt-down feature, as well as extra driver assistance in the form of lane change assist, traffic jam assist, front cross-traffic alert, plus front and rear parking assist with automatic braking.
