2025 Audi e-tron GT Lineup Debuts With Unprecedented Power
Since the Porsche Taycan is largely updated for 2025, it makes total sense that its close cousin, the Audi e-tron GT, would follow suit. The four-ring brand today unveiled a refreshed and significantly improved lineup, so here’s what you need to know.
First, we’ll start with the juicy stuff. Thanks to drivetrain upgrades including a newly developed front motor, maximum output (with Boost mode activated) is increased to 670 hp in the base model, 845 hp in the RS e-tron GT and a whopping 912 hp in the new RS e-tron GT performance—something no other production Audi has ever achieved. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is completed in 3.4 seconds, 2.8 seconds and 2.5 seconds, respectively.

By the way, the aforementioned Boost function provides an extra 94 hp for up to 10 seconds. A newly developed and enlarged braking system with standard steel discs and black calipers handles negative acceleration. Both RS models include tungsten carbide-coated brake discs. Audi also offers carbon-fibre ceramic discs for the entire e-tron GT family. Oh, and the brake callipers feature up to 10 pistons.
New Battery
Audi has lowered the weight of the high-voltage battery by 9 kg while simultaneously increasing its energy density. The pack now boasts a gross storage capacity of 105 kWh (net: 97 kWh) and the energy available via regenerative braking has also increased from 290 kW to 400 kW.
What’s more, Audi has increased the maximum charging power by 50 kW to 320 kW. Under ideal conditions, the e-tron GT can charge from 10-80 percent in only 18 minutes at a DC fast-charging station. Even in lower temperatures, the car reaches very high charging performance faster than before.
What about range? The new maximum of 608 km is based on the WLTP test cycle used in Europe and should be more like 480 km in North America. For the record, the current e-tron GT is rated at 399 km, even in RS trim.
Optional Active Suspension
For 2025, the standard suspension is a newly developed air suspension with dual-chamber/dual-valve technology. It can be replaced by a new and highly innovative active suspension as an option. According to Audi, this system provides an unprecedented spread between comfort and driving dynamics. The RS models offer two individually configurable, RS‑specific drive modes: RS1 and RS2. As an exclusive feature, the RS e-tron GT performance has a special mode designed for an optimal setup on challenging race tracks.
Meanwhile, the available all-wheel steering system combines with a more direct front-axle steering ratio to reduce steering effort at lower speeds.
Fresh Look
As you can see, the 2025 Audi e-Tron GT sports a new front fascia, which is different depending on the model. The RS cars are made to look even wider and more planted. New body colours and new wheel designs are part of the mix, as well as an optional panoramic glass roof.
Inside, the seats, steering wheel and door sills benefit from various revisions. Crucially for many EV owners, the Audi virtual cockpit provides new information on the battery temperature and shows the maximum possible charging power in real time.
The 2025 Audi e-tron GT models can already be ordered in Europe, but customers in Canada need to wait a few more months. Pricing and product availability will be announced closer to launch.
